An honest word about ice dams
No gutter or guard product prevents ice damming. Ice dams are caused by warm attic air melting snow on the roof, which then refreezes at the cold eave. Gutters simply happen to be where the ice becomes visible. The actual fix is attic insulation and balanced ventilation, and any company selling guards as an ice dam solution is telling you something that is not true.
